Hamster World

Editorial Policy

Hamster World exists to publish practical, evidence-aware hamster care advice written for real owners.

Who writes the articles

Hamster World is written and edited by Sarah Mitchell, founder and editor of the site. Sarah studied veterinary nursing for two years before moving into product design, and has kept hamsters since childhood.

How articles are researched

Care guides are based on Sarah's own hamster-keeping experience, veterinary publications, animal welfare guidance, and peer-reviewed research where it is available. Health and food articles include source links so readers can check the basis for the advice.

Medical limits

Hamster World does not diagnose individual animals. Articles can help owners understand symptoms, risks, and when to call a vet, but they are not a replacement for an exotic animal veterinarian.

Product recommendations

Product recommendations are kept rare and must be based on personal use, direct research, or a clear welfare reason. Paid placements are not presented as neutral advice.

Updates

Articles are revised when sources change, when care standards move on, or when a reader identifies something that needs checking. Each article displays its last revised date.
